Job Summary:

The primary focus of the role is to oversee the commercial management of Equinix's portfolio of major expansion construction projects throughout EMEA. The role involves working closely with internal project teams of varying seniority levels and providing strategic and day-to-day leadership to drive down construction costs, ensure internal financial controls and reporting processes are followed, and manage all major contract risks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the preparation of budgets, including detailed cost modeling, benchmarking analysis, and presentation to senior management.
  2. Monitor adherence to budgets throughout project lifecycles, including cost checks, reviews, value engineering, cost-saving initiatives, and evaluation of alternatives.
  3. Guide the development of requests for proposals (RFPs) for design services, owner-furnished equipment, and general contractor services.
  4. Oversee and advise on commercial change management and evaluations on all projects.
  5. Review analytics related to project cash flow and earned value analysis.
  6. Monitor the financial close-out of projects, including vendor settlements.
  7. Lead risk management efforts, including audits, contingency analyses, risk identification, and training.
  8. Review project cost reports and conduct regular reviews with senior management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction, business, finance, or a related field.
  2. Experience in the data center industry is preferable.
  3. Attention to detail, with accurate input and proofreading skills.
  4. Relevant professional qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
