Based in Wolverhampton, our client is part of a large group of businesses and is at the forefront of craftsmanship in their area. They are seeking a new Commercial Manager with experience in Purchasing, Internal Sales, SOP, and Operations.

Job Role

We are looking for an Experienced Commercial Manager to oversee various aspects of business operations, including Purchasing, Internal Sales, and ensuring alignment between product, sales, marketing, and engineering departments.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following key areas:

  1. Lead and manage the purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
  2. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to optimize procurement and negotiate favorable terms.
  3. Implement sales strategies within domestic and export markets to achieve revenue targets and explore new sales opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external sales teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
  5. Serve as a central liaison among product, sales, marketing, purchasing, and engineering departments to ensure alignment of company objectives.
  6. Implement and communicate standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, transparency, and efficiency across functions, including providing training and support.
  7. Develop strategic plans to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate risks.
  8. Explore new business opportunities for revenue growth.
  9. Drive new product introductions through the purchasing process in collaboration with suppliers.
  10. Identify potential risks and compliance issues related to sales, marketing, and purchasing.
  11. Establish KPIs to measure and improve the effectiveness of commercial activities.
  12. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence to achieve business objectives.
  13. Prepare and present product opportunity briefs based on sales proposals.
