Location: East of England - Flexible across the Anglian Water region
Salary: Up to £105,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Ganymede Solutions is recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager to take a senior commercial leadership role on a major Anglian Water repair and maintenance programme.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the programme at an important stage of growth, with the framework expanding significantly and delivering approximately £70m of work per annum.

We are specifically looking for an established commercial leader who genuinely understands high-volume, lower-value repair and maintenance works and can take ownership of the commercial function across a busy operational programme.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial leadership across the Repair & Maintenance programme, working closely with operational leadership and managing the commercial team to drive performance across the framework.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Commercial leadership of a circa £70m annual programme
• Leading, managing and developing the commercial team
• Driving commercial performance across a high-volume portfolio of works
• Establishing and maintaining robust commercial controls
• Cost management, forecasting and financial reporting
• Contract and subcontract management
• Management of change, commercial risk and opportunity
• Supporting operational teams with commercial decision-making
• Ensuring consistent commercial processes and governance across the programme
• Developing strong relationships with the client and supply chain
• Providing commercial input into the continued growth and development of the framework

About You

This role requires somebody with a strong understanding of how a high-volume Repair & Maintenance operation works commercially.

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• Significant commercial experience within utilities, infrastructure or maintenance frameworks
• Strong knowledge of high-volume R&M works
• Previous experience operating at Commercial Manager or equivalent senior commercial level
• Experience leading and developing commercial teams
• Strong contractual, financial and commercial management capability
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to operate effectively across a geographically dispersed programme

Water sector experience would be highly advantageous, particularly within clean water repair and maintenance.

However, we are also keen to speak with experienced commercial leaders from other relevant R&M environments including gas, telecoms, highways and wider utilities.

The role can be based flexibly across the Anglian Water region, with access to a number of operational offices. Regular travel and visibility across the programme will be important, particularly during the first six months.
