Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is recruiting a Commercial Manager to join a major highways infrastructure scheme in the North West. Based on site in Cumbria, you will lead commercial management, ensuring financial targets and contractual obligations are met.

You will oversee cost control, forecasts, CVRs, procurement, payments, variations and final accounts while administering NEC contracts and managing change. Strong negotiation and stakeholder skills are essential to maximise value.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading UK infrastructure contractor on a major highways project in the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key commercial role within a significant highways infrastructure scheme, working alongside an established project team to support commercial performance, contractual compliance and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of project activities, ensuring financial targets and contractual obligations are met.


• Manage cost control, forecasting, CVRs and commercial reporting.


• Oversee subcontract procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.

About You

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or highways.

• A commercially driven approach to project delivery.
