Job summary

Ultimate (Commercial Interiors) Ltd | est. 2002 seeks an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial management of interior fit-out projects, ensuring profitability and protecting the company’s commercial interests.

You will work with Operations, Contracts, Estimating and Finance to manage budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts, guiding decisions for project success. You will strengthen commercial processes, improve reporting and implement best practices to support the next

Qualifications

• Experience as Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar in construction or commercial fit-out.
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with great attention to detail.
• Ability to influence project teams and support commercial decision-making.
• Experience developing commercial processes and driving continuous improvement.
• Ambition to grow, develop and shape the future of the business.
• A construction-related qualification (HNC, HND or Degree in QS/CM).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of the commercial management of our interior fit-out projects, ensuring they are delivered profitably whilst protecting Ultimate's commercial interests and maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Working closely with our Operations, Contracts, Estimating and Finance teams, you'll oversee project budgets, procurement, valuations, variations, contract administration and final accounts, providing commercial guidance throughout the project lifecycle and supporting informed business decisions.

This role offers a genuine opportunity to help shape the future of our commercial function.

You'll play a key part in strengthening our commercial processes, improving reporting, implementing best practice and helping build the commercial infrastructure that will support the next phase of Ultimate's growth.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar role within the construction or commercial fit-out sector.
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
