Job summary

Amey Ltd. is seeking a Permanent Commercial Manager to join the Eastern and Southern Rail team in London or Bedford. The role offers hybrid working (on-site 3 days per week) and exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects across London and the South.

You will shape commercial outcomes, govern contracts, support business growth, and develop through a dynamic, forward-thinking team with strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial management experience in infrastructure, rail, transport or construction.
• Experience with NEC forms of contract (NEC3/NEC4) is advantageous.
• Solid contract administration, change management, risk management and reporting knowledge.
• Experience with Transport for London (TfL) is desirable for client expectations and governance.
• Experience on major public sector and multi-disciplinary projects is well suited.

• Cost planning and value reporting for projects.
• Subcontract and design management oversight.
• Change control and trackers maintenance.
• Draft EWNs and manage changes/compensation events.
• Handle commercial administrative processes.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement activities.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Commercial Manager to join our dynamic Eastern and Southern Rail team at London or Bedford. 37.5 hrs per week, hybrid working with an expectation to be on site/office 3 days a week.

In this role, you will join our expanding Commercial team, supporting a growing portfolio of projects and frameworks across London and the South. The role offers the chance to work from multiple locations across London and Bedford, collaborating with a diverse range of internal teams, clients and stakeholders to deliver high-profile infrastructure and transportation projects.

What You'll Bring:

• Strong commercial management experience, ideally gained within the infrastructure, rail, transport or construction sectors.
• Experience working with NEC forms of contract (including NEC3 and NEC4) would be highly advantageous.
• Sound understanding of contract administration, change management, risk management, and commercial reporting.
• Previous experience working for, or with, Transport for London (TfL) is desirable and would provide valuable insight into client expectations, governance requirements and delivery environments.
• Experience supporting major public sector clients and complex multi-disciplinary projects will be particularly well suited to the role.
