Job summary

Ideal Heating, part of Groupe Atlantic, is seeking a commercially focused Management Accountant to support its finance team as it grows.

Based in Hull, you will produce management accounts for multiple entities, deliver insightful commentary to senior leaders, and help drive improvements in month-end reporting and pricing integrity across SAP.

You will work across operations, balancing hands-on accounting with wider business involvement and opportunities to influence strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• CIMA or ACCA qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret data and turn it into useful business insight.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and taking initiative.
• Clear communication skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely management accounts across multiple entities.
• Provide clear financial insight and commentary to senior management.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage the balance sheet and complete monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly group financial submissions in line with reporting rules and local GAAP requirements.
• Produce quarterly profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts.
• Maintain customer master data and pricing integrity in SAP, supporting the sales team and external customers with pricing queries.
• Support the Head of Financial Reporting with other ad hoc financial requests.

Ideal Heating, part of Groupe Atlantic, is looking for a commercially focused Management Accountant to support its finance team and wider business as it continues to grow.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you’ll work closely with operational teams and senior leaders to monitor performance, identify opportunities to improve and encourage best practice across the function. It’s a varied, hands-on role where strong accounting skills go hand in hand with commercial awareness.
