Job summary

Weightmans is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to manage and progress a diverse caseload of commercial disputes in a collaborative Liverpool-based team. The role involves direct client contact, drafting and researching at a high standard, and contributing to business development.

You will work under Partners/LD supervision, handling cases independently where appropriate. A flexible approach and strong organisational skills are essential for meeting deadlines and achieving targets.

Qualifications

• NQ-3 years’ PQE or equivalent
• Extensive litigation experience with proven technical ability and record of achievement
• Ability to meet deadlines/targets, prioritise and manage a caseload
• Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative with a positive attitude
• Commercial, solution-driven and client-focused approach
• Strong legal and analytical skills with an eye for detail
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible approach and agile working
• Excellent IT skill

Responsibilities

• Assist partners and other case handlers with caseloads
• Draft and perform legal research, investigations, etc
• Attend conferences, court and client meetings
• Communicate with clients, counsel and other parties
• Involvement in business development and profile-raising initiatives
• Complete client and internal MI procedures
• Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
• Ensure deadlines, quality measures and KPIs are adhered to
• Comply with relevant policies and procedures
