Job Description:

Danos has been mandated on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join a Local Government Pension Fund, sitting in a small team and reporting into the Director of Risk and General Counsel. The role will be based in London. Flexible working is offered with 1-2 days expected in the office, but candidates who are regionally located are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on a range of contracts and arrangements including employment contracts, commercial contracts, supply of goods and services contracts, and documents related to investments by, or on behalf of clients.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant regulatory obligations impacting the fund.
• Advise on the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Research and implement applicable laws and regulations handed down by the FCA and advise the business accordingly.
• Aid with FOIA requests.
• Provide support to the wider business including Compliance and HR.

Your Profile:

• England & Wales qualified with 2+ years PQE.
• Broad commercial contracts experience will be considered.
• Candidates who are immediately available are preferred but not essential.
