Mace is recruiting a Senior Commercial Lead to drive commercial reporting and assurance across a major reservoirs programme. You will own forecasts, cost reporting, accruals and liabilities, and lead a high‑performance, data‑driven commercial culture.

Qualifications

• Post-contract focus with month-end processes, payments, forecasting, accruals and liabilities.
• Degree in construction management, quantity surveying or equivalent.
• MRICS qualification or equivalent (or working towards).
• Evidence of ongoing management development and personal growth.
• Experience in a similar role on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience working across complex matrix teams.
• Track record of creating an aligned high-performance culture.
• Adept in standard forms of contract and implementing commercial strategies.
• Management of small teams of quantity surveyors.
• Stakeholder management in a complex matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Directing the commercial reporting and assurance function for the reservoirs programme.
• Establishing and continuously improving monthly reporting, performance dashboards, and management information.
• Overseeing and assuring programme forecasts, accruals, commitments, liabilities, and cost reporting.
• Developing and implementing a commercial assurance framework and audit programme.
• Managing supply chain performance reporting and assurance processes.
• Providing strategic commercial insight to the programme leadership team.
• Driving consistency, quality, and governance across commercial reporting activities.
• Supporting the development of a major programme commercial culture, linking operational delivery with strategic outcomes.
• Identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend proactive interventions.
• Managing, mentoring, and coordinating reporting and assurance resources within the wider commercial team.
