Job summary

Cameron James Professional Recruitment is recruiting for a Commercial Insurance Account Handler. You will manage a portfolio of mid-market commercial clients, handling policy lifecycles, renewals, and new business support with a focus on exceptional service and compliance.

The role requires 4–5 years of commercial insurance experience, strong communication, and IT fluency with major insurer systems. A pathway to CII qualifications is available with full funding and support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of commercial insurance broking or handling experience
• Solid grasp of general commercial lines (property, liability, fleet, PI)
• Excellent written and verbal communication with underwriters
• Willingness to progress toward CII qualifications (fully funded)
• Proficiency with MS Office and insurance software systems

Responsibilities

• Manage and nurture an existing portfolio of mid-market commercial clients across sectors
• Prepare renewal presentations and negotiate terms with insurers
• Collaborate with Account Executives to prepare quotes and onboard new clients
• Provide clear, technical advice and act as the client advocate
• Maintain accurate records in the client management system in line with FCA requirements
