Job summary

We Are Zenith is seeking a Gas Heating Engineer to maintain and repair heating, ventilation and mechanical services across commercial and domestic properties in the UK. You will diagnose faults, replace components, and ensure compliance with Gas Safety regulations, Health and Safety legislation, Water Regulations and Building Regulations.

You will undertake gas safety inspections, commissioning checks and issue reports.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating or Heating & Ventilation.
• ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications.
• Gas Safe registration.
• CSCS Card.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in commercial and domestic environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation and mechanical services.
• Carry out commercial and domestic heating repairs in response to reported faults, diagnosing issues and replacing defective components as required.
• Ensure compliance with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, Water Regulations, Building Regulations, and all associated statutory requirements.
• Undertake gas safety inspections, commissioning checks, testing and certification of gas and heating installations.
• Produce technical reports and provide recommendations for remedial works.
• Carry out work on gas appliances, heating systems and air source heat pumps.
• Install complete domestic and commercial heating systems, including boiler replacements.
• Work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Carry out repairs, renewals and refurbishment works.
• Assist with planned annual maintenance programmes, including servicing, cleaning and replacing parts as required.
