Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC) to carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple retail sites in Luton, Stevenage and Bishops Stortford.

You will service and repair commercial boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs and FCUs, carry out installations within your competence, attend breakdowns and update reports. A full UK driving licence is required and you will be on a 1 in 4 week on-call rota.

Qualifications

• PPM and reactive maintenance experience required.
• Experience across commercial or retail environments.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC)

Locations: Luton / Stevenage / Bishops Stortford

Salary: A GBP 48,656.73 total salary, including 5 SLA and standby payment

Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

The role

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple retail sites.
• Service and repair commercial boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs and FCUs.
• Complete minor alterations and installations within your area of competence.
• Attend breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Identify non-repairable equipment and recommend suitable replacement options.
• Complete service reports and update work through a PDA system.
• Order parts and spares in line with company procedures.
• Work as part of a 24/7 on:call rota, approximately 1 week in 4.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, compliance and customer service.

About You

• NVQ or SVQ Level 3 in Heating, Ventilation, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Experience working across commercial or retail environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
