Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Bridgwater
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM & Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM (37 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £13.29p/h
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Full Time - Temp to Perm

Our client is excited to announce a vacancy for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team.

This role is essential for ensuring that the public spaces are well-maintained, safe, and presented to a high standard for the community to enjoy.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in carrying out essential grounds maintenance work across our client's sites.

General Duties:

• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, and hedge trimming to maintain parks, open spaces, and recreational areas.
• Ensure general site tidiness to keep public spaces clean and welcoming.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including planting, weeding, and seasonal upkeep.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they remain in safe working order.
• Collaborate with other teams on maintenance projects and general site upkeep.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance or similar position.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
• A full driving license is essential.
• Own steel-cap work boots required; all other PPE will be provided.
