Job summary

Amey is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Graduate to join the SBIM team based in Bristol. This two-year Graduate Pathway will challenge you, provide mentoring, structured learning and a guaranteed permanent position on completion.

Starting salary £30,000 per annum, 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri). Occasional weekend/night site work may be required. The programme will develop your commercial skills on a major highways project.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2:2 degree in quantity surveying, commercial management or a related discipline.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Implement commercial processes for cost capture, valuation, procurement and reporting.
  • Submit applications for payment in a timely manner and agree accounts with clients and contracts.
  • Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements.
  • Assist in preparing commercial reports, including monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports, cash flows, budgets and forecasts.
  • Liaise with Operations teams to ensure costs and value are correctly coded.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract agreements and Amey processes for certification, payment and liability.
  • Manage all aspects of subcontract procurement.
  • Provide commercial support as required or directed.

Starting Salary: £30,000.00 per annum (Subject to review)

Working hours per week: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, 37.5 hours per week. Occasional weekend and night site work will be classed as overtime.

About the team:

Severn Bridges is working in partnership with National Highways on the Specialist Bridges Inspection & Maintenance contract of three bridges in Southwest England over a 15-year period.

Covering the maintenance of three major structures; the 1.4km M5 Avonmouth Bridge, the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge which comprises three structures, the 2.1km Avon Viaduct, 948m Cable Stay and 2.077km Gwent Viaduct as well as the 1.6km M48 Severn Bridge, a suspension bridge that has second highest tidal range in the world at 14.5m. Weare responsible forthe cyclic maintenance and daily structure inspection checks.

What you will do:
