Job summary

PSR Solutions is seeking a Commercial Governance Manager for a regional role covering the Midlands and North West. The package includes £100,000 - £115,000 salary plus benefits, reflecting a senior position within a regional main contractor.

You will drive governance and commercial controls across multiple projects, working closely with commercial, operations and estimating teams while maintaining high standards of risk management and reporting.

Commercial Governance Manager – Main Contractor

About the Commercial Governance Manager Role:

• Develop and maintain commercial governance frameworks, policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual obligations and client requirements
• Provide oversight and guidance on NEC and JCT contract administration
• Lead commercial reporting, auditing and KPI monitoring activities
• Support bid governance, risk management and financial scrutiny processes
• Ensure effective controls are in place around variations, liabilities and commercial exposure
• Work closely with Commercial, Operational, Estimating and Pre-Construction teams
• Identify areas of commercial risk and implement mitigation strategies
• Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes and controls
• Support senior leadership with commercial performance reviews and governance reporting
• Promote consistency of commercial best practice across multiple projects and business units

About the right Person:

I'm looking for someone with a strong background in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying within a Main Contractor or Infrastructure environment, who understands the importance of governance, risk management and commercial controls.

You'll ideally have experience with:

• NEC and/or JCT contracts
• Commercial management within construction or infrastructure
• Cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
• Commercial risk management and governance processes
• Auditing, compliance and performance monitoring
• Supporting multiple projects and stakeholders across a regional business
• Developing and implementing commercial procedures and best practice
