Job summary

A commercial services firm in Maidstone is seeking a Commercial Gas Service Engineer. Your role involves servicing, repairing, and commissioning gas appliances, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards. Qualifications

• Must hold minimum Gas Safe certifications: COCN1, ICPN1, TCPA1, TPCP1, BMP1, CDGA1, CIGA1.
• Emergency first aid at work certification is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Ability to work on your own, or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support safe and effective running of the team under Health & Safety guidelines.
• Carry out servicing, repair, and commissioning of gas appliances.
• Join the out of hours call-out rota.
• Attend sites as a Lone Worker if required.
• Obtain equipment details and part numbers for spares ordering.
• Complete engineer reports, test sheets and service records.

Job description

DSL are looking to add to our team of highly trained Commercial Gas Service Engineers. Working within a team of experienced engineers dedicated to servicing, repair and commissioning of all types of commercial heating plant and systems for our clients in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Your Role:

• Support the safe, efficient and effective running of the team, ensuring best practice and compliance with Health & Safety requirements, including DSL’s HSEQ policies, working to RAMS, and following company procedures.
• Carry out the servicing, repair and commissioning of boiler plant, gas appliances and plant room equipment.
• Join out of hours call out rota to cover client site breakdowns and emergencies.
• May be required to attend site as a “Lone Worker”.
• Obtain equipment details and part numbers to facilitate ordering of spares.
• Complete Engineer Reports, test sheets and service records.
• Other tasks as required by your Supervisor/Line Manager.

Your Skills:

• Must be experienced in working with gas appliances together with their ancillary equipment.
• Good working knowledge of general systems to aid wider diagnostics.
• Gas Safe: COCN1, ICPN1, TCPA1, TPCP1, BMP1, CDGA1, CIGA1 as a minimum
  Emergency first aid at work would be beneficial.
• Ability to work on your own, or as part of a team.
• A ‘can do’ attitude, and willing to help others.

Your Hours:

Working 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am till 5.30pm.
You will be required to join the call-out rota to cover out of hours breakdowns. This attracts additional remuneration on top of annual salary.
