Job summary

Hiring People is seeking a commercial gas engineer to service, fault-find and repair gas appliances within plant rooms for commercial building services. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, breakdown response and ensuring safety and compliance.

The candidate will have ACS Commercial Gas, strong mechanical skills in plant rooms, and the ability to work independently. A UK driving licence is preferred; a company car and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial gas experience in building services / FM.
• ACS Commercial Gas (essential).
• Solid mechanical skills in plant rooms.
• Able to work independently and manage your day.
• UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive servicing/maintenance on commercial gas appliances.
• Fault-finding and repairs.
• Responding to breakdowns and getting systems back online quickly and safely.
• Small mechanical repairs (pumps, valves, pipework, ancillary kit).
• Installing/commissioning/testing systems when required.
• Completing compliance checks and keeping work safe and compliant.
• Writing up jobs clearly and liaising professionally with clients/sites.
