Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial heating and plumbing maintenance across multiple sites in Peterborough and surrounding areas.

You will coordinate PPM and reactive works, lead engineering teams and subcontractors, manage budgets, and ensure safety compliance in line with CDM regulations. A full UK driving licence and relevant qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager, or Supervisor within commercial heating.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial plumbing, heating, and M&E systems.
• Experience managing maintenance contracts in manufacturing, office, or educational environments.
• Experience managing engineers, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and safe systems of work.
• Experience using CAFM systems for scheduling, PPM, and reactive maintenance.
• Experience carrying out site surveys and preparing estimates.
• Experience managing budgets, quotations, variations, and invoicing.
• Strong client-facing, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to prepare RAMS, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent; SMSTS/SSSTS and Commercial Gas Safe qualifications desirable

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance contracts across multiple sites, coordinating PPM and reactive works.
• Manage engineering teams and subcontractors, and maintain client relationships.
• Carry out site inspections, surveys, and produce estimates.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to industry standards.
• Prepare RAMS, reports, and required compliance documentation.
