Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager for Commercial Plumbing & Heating to oversee PPM and reactive maintenance contracts across sites near Peterborough. You will lead engineering teams, coordinate workloads, manage budgets, and ensure health and safety compliance.

Experience in commercial heating, strong leadership, and client-facing communication are essential. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager, or Supervisor within commercial heating.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial plumbing, heating, and M&E systems.
• Experience managing maintenance contracts within manufacturing, food production, commercial office, or educational environments.
• Experience managing engineers, subcontractors, and site-based teams.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and safe systems of work.
• Experience using CAFM systems for job scheduling, PPM planning, and reactive maintenance.
• Experience carrying out site surveys and preparing estimates.
• Experience managing budgets, quotations, variations, and invoicing.
• Strong client-facing, communication, and leadership skills.

Project Manager - Commercial Plumbing & Heating

Commercial Plumbing & Heating Project Manager required for our client, an established engineering and facilities management company providing mechanical, electrical, refurbishment, and building maintenance services across the industrial and commercial sectors.

The Commercial Plumbing & Heating Project Manager will be responsible for managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance contracts across manufacturing, commercial office, and educational sites. The role will involve overseeing engineering teams and subcontractors, coordinating workloads, managing contract budgets, ensuring statutory compliance, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will be based within commutable distance of Peterborough, with travel to client sites across the region. This will be a range of multiple smaller projects at any one time. The Client would also consider an experienced commercial gas supervisor, who may be interested in moving into a project managers role.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineers, subcontractors, and site-based teams.

• Experience using CAFM systems for job scheduling, PPM planning, and reactive maintenance.

• Ability to prepare RAMS, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent, SMSTS or SSSTS qualification and Commercial Gas Safe qualifications all desirable.

• Salary £50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
