Job summary

FRONTrunner Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Commercial Laundry Engineer to service and maintain commercial laundry equipment across Manchester and surrounding areas. You will handle electrical and gas-fired units and respond to client sites such as hospitals and hotels.

Salary starts at 35k with electrical experience and rises to 38k for gas-certified candidates; includes a 2k annual performance bonus, company van, phone, overtime, and a 1-in-6 weekend call out rota.

Qualifications

• Gas certificates preferred, not essential if willing to train on gas equipment.
• Existing domestic or commercial gas certificates are desirable.
• Experience with commercial catering equipment or dishwashers is a plus.
• Must reside in or around the Greater Manchester area.
• Good electrical competency is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and maintenance on commercial laundry equipment (washing machines, tumble dryers, finishing machines).
• Work on electrical and gas-fired laundry equipment.
• Cover Manchester and Greater Manchester area.
• Liaise with clients such as nursing homes, hospitals, offices, hotels.

Good opportunities to work for a nationwide, commercial laundry company that is going through some great expansion these past few years. After a number of company acquisitions they are looking to strengthen their position to be able to provide a quality service to its clients. They have been running over 20 years and can count some very well know companies as clients.

Responsibilities

• Providing service and maintenance on commercial laundry equipment - commercial and industrial washing machines, tumble driers, rotary irons, finishing machines, dishwashers and some dosing machines
• Working on electrical and gas fired commercial laundry equipment
• Covering the Manchester and Greater Manchester area
• Working with clients such as nursing homes, hospitals, offices, holiday parks, hotels

Experience / skills required for a commercial laundry engineer

• Experience within commercial laundry equipment and gas laundry certs would be beneficial but is not essential
• They are looking to train someone up on gas commercial laundry equipment so need someone with existing domestic or commercial gas certificates
• They would also consider someone who has experience working on commercial catering equipment or commercial dishwashers
• Living anywhere in or around the greater Manchester area
• Good electrical competency

Salary for a commercial laundry engineer

• 38k basic if you have any gas certificates
• 35k basic if you don't have gas certs but have relevant electrical industry experience
• Door to door travel pay
• 2k annual performance bonus paid on a quarterly basis
• Van, phone, overtime
• Call out rota for 1 weekend in 6
• 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
• Great further training on gas laundry equipment
