Job summary

Branta Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a fast-growing specialist maintenance business covering North East England. You will deliver planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and commissioning across healthcare, retail, hospitality and leisure properties, with opportunities for long-term career progression.

The role requires valid commercial gas tickets, a full UK driving licence and proven experience with commercial plant rooms and heating

Qualifications

Commercial gas safety tickets are essential (e.g. COCN1/CODNCO1, CORT1, CTP1, CDGA1, ICPN1, etc.).
Full UK driving licence with clean record is required.
Based in the North East England region (Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough or surrounding areas).

Responsibilities

Perform servicing, fault-finding, maintenance and emergency repairs on commercial gas appliances, plant and heating systems.
Carry out safety inspections, gas testing, purging, and issue CP12/commercial safety certificates.
Work across commercial plant rooms, boilers, hot water systems and related controls.
Complete detailed digital reports and compliance documentation via mobile devices.
Participate in a manageable call-out rota to support key commercial heating contracts.
