Job summary

Anne Corder Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer for a varied, hands-on role across commercial and industrial sites. You will carry out gas, plumbing, heating, maintenance and refurbishment works with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Based in Market Deeping, the role offers a salary of £18-£23 per hour plus overtime, a fully expensed vehicle, a fuel card, pension, workwear and PPE, and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating required.
• Commercial or Domestic Gas qualifications required.
• Full clean UK driving license and own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out remedial repairs, planned preventive maintenance and refurbishment across commercial/industrial environments.
• Diagnosing faults and repairing heating systems, pipework, plant rooms, sanitary ware, pumps, valves and related equipment.
• Installing, maintaining and commissioning boilers, heating and plumbing systems and related plant.
• Completing inspection, testing and compliance activities to Gas Safe, Water Regulations and Building Regulations.
• Accurately completing documentation, commissioning records and service reports.

Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking for a varied, hands‑on role where you can work across commercial and industrial sites, carrying out gas, plumbing, heating, maintenance and refurbishment works without a call out rota?

Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Market Deeping

Salary: £18 - £23/hour + overtime

This Commercial Gas Engineer role is a brilliant opportunity for a skilled commercial or industrial facilities professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys variety of work. You will be supporting the Facilities department, while also assisting the Mechanical department when required, carrying out remedial repairs, PPM, installations, inspections and compliance‑led work across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a wide range of remedial repairs, planned preventative maintenance and refurbishment works across commercial and industrial environments
• Diagnosing faults efficiently and undertaking repairs to heating systems, pipework, plant rooms, sanitary ware, pumps, valves and associated mechanical equipment
• Installing, maintaining and commissioning boilers, heating systems, plumbing systems and associated plant in line with current industry standards
• Completing inspection, testing and compliance activities on both new and existing installations, ensuring work meets Gas Safe, Water Regulations, Building Regulations and company procedures
• Accurately completing all required documentation, including commissioning records, test certificates, service reports, job sheets and associated paperwork through company systems

Requirements

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating
• Commercial or Domestic Gas qualifications
• Full clean UK driving licence, along with personal hand tools and battery drills as a minimum
• A hands‑on, organised and professional approach, with good communication skills and pride in delivering quality work
