Job summary

Roberts & Prowse based in Swindon, Wiltshire, is recruiting a Commercial Gas Engineer to work on gas installations and servicing within Oxfordshire and Reading.

You will carry out maintenance, fault diagnosis, and safety testing in commercial environments, ensuring compliance and safety standards. A time-served background and relevant ACS certifications are essential, along with a full driving license.

Qualifications

• Essentially you will be a Time Served Commercial Gas Engineer with experience in commercial building services or construction.
• Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team, reading drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out gas installations as required by the company.
• Carrying out servicing and pre-planned maintenance.
• Carry out reactive call outs, diagnose and repair faults.
• Gas leak detection, pressure testing, flue testing and appliance servicing.
• Certification and gas purging services as requested by managers.
• Complete all necessary documentation including field service reports and certificates.
• Meet deadlines and keep accurate job records and parts usage.
• Order parts in absence of senior managers.

COCN1 (Core Commercial Gas)

CDGA1 (Commercial Direct Fired Gas Heating Appliances)

CIGA1 (Commercial Indirect Fired Gas Heating Appliances)

ICPN1 (First Fix of Commercial Pipe Work >35mm)

TPCP1A (Strength/Tightness/Purging)

CENWAT1 (Domestic Central Heating/Water Heaters)

CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis)

Full driving license

CSCS Card holder an advantage
