Job summary

Pure Talent Group Ltd in Southampton is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established building services team. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites, with a strong focus on gas systems and three-phase electrical fault-finding.

You will service commercial boilers, gas-fired plant, AHUs, packaged HVAC systems and mini-split systems, working across a varied portfolio. A full UK driving licence and current gas qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
• Current commercial gas qualifications/tickets and three-phase electrical experience.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repair of commercial heating and HVAC equipment across sites.
• Cover commercial boilers and gas-fired plant, pumps and controls.
• Work on AHUs, packaged systems and mini-split / split air conditioning systems.
• Maintain general mechanical building services equipment and ensure safe operation.

Job description

Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Southampton

Salary: £48,000 + Package

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established building services team, working across a range of commercial sites.

This is a varied role suited to an engineer with a strong commercial gas background who is also confident electrically. Alongside commercial heating and gas equipment, you will work across associated HVAC plant, so experience with AHUs, packaged systems and mini-split air conditioning systems would be highly advantageous.

The Role

You will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repair of commercial heating and HVAC equipment across a portfolio of commercial sites.

• Commercial boilers and heating systems


• Gas-fired plant


• Pumps and associated controls


• AHUs, including gas-fired heating sections


• Packaged HVAC systems


• Mini-split and split air conditioning systems


• General mechanical building services equipment

Essential Requirements

You must have:

• Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer


• Current commercial gas qualifications/tickets


• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience


• Three-phase electrical experience


• Experience working safely on electrical and mechanical plant


• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following would be particularly useful:

• Air Handling Units (AHUs)


• Packaged HVAC systems

• LPHW systems


• Pumps and inverters


• General commercial HVAC maintenance

An F-Gas qualification would be advantageous but is not essential provided you have relevant HVAC exposure.
