Job summary

Talent Consultancy is hiring an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established heating and electrical contractor serving Salisbury and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for commercial gas servicing, maintenance, repairs and reactive work, including fault diagnosis and safety checks.

The role emphasizes service and maintenance over pure installation, with most work within a 30-mile radius of Salisbury and occasional larger projects requiring travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial gas servicing, maintenance, repairs and reactive work.
• Not purely installation focused; strong service and fault-finding background.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites within a 30-mile radius of Salisbury.

Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Salisbury Area / South Wiltshire

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 basic DOE + Overtime

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

We're recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join an established heating and electrical contractor operating across Salisbury and the surrounding region.

The business has an established workload and is looking to strengthen its gas and heating team with an engineer who can confidently undertake commercial gas servicing, maintenance, repairs and reactive work.

This is not purely an installation position. We're particularly interested in engineers with strong service, maintenance, breakdown and fault-finding experience.

The Role

Depending on your experience and qualifications, responsibilities will include:

• Commercial gas servicing and maintenance


• Planned and reactive maintenance


• Commercial boiler servicing


• Heating system fault finding


• Breakdown diagnosis and repairs


• Gas and heating remedial works


• Boiler and heating component replacement


• Working on commercial heating systems and associated equipment


• Completing safety checks and relevant documentation


• Diagnosing faults and identifying required remedial work


• Updating jobs using the company CRM/job-management system


• Working independently across customer sites

The majority of work is within approximately a 30-mile radius of Salisbury, with occasional travel further afield for larger projects
