Job summary

FM Search & Select Ltd is recruiting an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a specialist HVAC contractor covering Peterborough and the surrounding areas. You will service and maintain large commercial boilers and heating plant, carrying out PPM and remedial works while managing a mobile patch.

You’ll work independently across a portfolio, dealing directly with clients and supporting wider HVAC systems, including potential on-call duties on a 1 in 7 rota. Full UK driving licence essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a commercial gas engineer with relevant qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of large commercial boilers and heating plant.
• Desirable experience in air conditioning and F-Gas.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to mobile work.

Responsibilities

Salary: Up to £49,000 + door-to-door travel
On Call: 1 in 7

FM Search & Select are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a specialist HVAC contractor covering Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

This is a mobile role working predominantly on large-scale commercial boilers and heating systems, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial sites.

We're particularly keen to speak with engineers who have experience across the wider HVAC sector, ideally with knowledge of both commercial heating and air conditioning.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault finding on large commercial boilers and associated heating plant, alongside completing PPM, reactive maintenance and remedial works.

The role will involve working independently across a mobile portfolio, dealing directly with clients and supporting wider HVAC systems where required.

There is a 1 in 7 on-call rota, and candidates should be aware that the on-call week will involve covering a larger geographical area than the normal day-to-day patch.

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with relevant commercial gas qualifications
• Strong knowledge of large commercial boilers, heating plant and fault finding
• Ideally broader HVAC experience, including air conditioning and/or F-Gas
• Full UK driving licence and comfortable working within a mobile role
