Job summary

Start Monday is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer for the Leicester/Northampton regions. The role involves servicing and fault-finding on commercial boilers, water heaters, and radiant tube systems. You will perform gas testing, purging, and electrical checks with a company van and paid travel.

The position offers a competitive up-to-£49,000 basic, on-call duties, overtime, and a supportive engineering team in a varied commercial/industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Electrical testing experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working independently and dealing with customers.
• Relevant apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Work on commercial boilers & forced-draught burners.
• Install and service water heaters, warm air & radiant tube systems.
• Carry out fault finding, repairs and commissioning.
• Gas pipework testing and purging; electrical fault finding and testing.

Up to £49,000 Basic + Door-to-Door + Overtime + On-Call + Company Van

The Role

You'll be working on:

• Commercial boilers & forced-draught burners
• Water heaters
• Warm air & radiant tube systems
• Fault finding, repairs and commissioning
• Gas pipework testing and purging
• Electrical fault finding and testing
• Paid on-call rota
• There will also be some ancillary mechanical/building services work, including pumps, expansion vessels, actuators and basic plumbing

What you'll need

• Commercial Gas qualifications: COCN1, CORT1, CIGA1, TPCP1 & 1A, ICPN1
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Electrical testing experience
• Relevant apprenticeship
• Full UK driving licence
