Job summary

Future Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to cover Reading and surrounding areas on a mobile basis. The role offers £50,000–£55,000 basic pay, overtime, a company van, pension and healthcare with weekly pay.

You will service, maintain and repair commercial gas systems across varied sites, including high-end residential and prestigious commercial properties. A full UK driving licence and relevant gas qualifications are essential, with DBS clearance as required.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a close-knit team.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Willingness to undergo DBS / Enhanced DBS as required.
• Experience in servicing, maintenance, fault finding and breakdowns on commercial gas systems.
• Knowledge of commercial gas, oil and LPG systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas systems.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Diagnosing faults and fault finding across commercial heating systems.
• Work across high-end residential, commercial, education and prestigious sites.
• Travel across Reading, Swindon, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire and occasionally London.
• Complete service reports and adhere to health, safety and compliance standards.

This role is ideal for a Commercial Gas Engineer who wants to work on a varied range of systems and sites rather than being based on one static location. You'll be carrying out servicing, maintenance, breakdowns and fault finding across Reading, Swindon, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire and into London, working with prestigious clients.

Your Job As A Commercial Gas Engineer Will Include:

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas systems
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out fault finding across commercial heating systems
• Working across high-end residential, commercial, education and prestigious sites
• Travelling across Reading, Swindon, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire and occasionally London
• Supporting and mentoring younger engineers within the team
• Completing service reports and working to strict health & safety and compliance standards

As A Commercial Gas Engineer You Will Have:

• Relevant commercial gas qualifications and strong commercial gas experience
• Experience carrying out breakdowns, fault finding, servicing and maintenance
• Ideally experience with commercial gas, oil and LPG systems
• Good knowledge of domestic gas systems would be advantageous
• A strong hands-on maintenance background
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a close-knit team
• A full UK driving licence
• Willingness to undergo DBS / Enhanced DBS and security clearance where required
