A local government authority in the East Midlands is looking for a skilled maintenance professional to provide gas and mechanical repair services. The ideal candidate will hold necessary certifications and have experience in installations while ensuring health and safety compliance. This permanent full-time position offers a starting salary of £40,777 up to £44,075, depending on experience, along with various employee benefits and a supportive work environment.

We have an exciting role available where you will play a key part in maintaining and improving the commercial and corporate property portfolio.
Working under the direction of a Mechanical Team Leader, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of gas / mechanical / plumbing - related maintenance and repair work in line with assigned work orders.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality maintenance services and making a real difference in the community.
The ideal candidate will have:
COCN1 CCN1 Core Gas Safety certification.
TPCP1 TPCP1A CORT1 CIGA1 CPA1 and Unvented Hot Water.
Practical experience in gas and mechanical service installations and repairs, strong awareness of health and safety regulations, excellent customer care and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering a high-quality service.
Ability to use electronic devices for reporting and work management, Literate and numerate, with the ability to complete accurate documentation.
This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
