Responsibilities for the Commercial Gas Engineer will include:

1. Service, maintenance and breakdown of commercial gas and solid fuel heating systems
2. Installations work required at times
3. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
4. Undertake PPM activity
5. Complete paperwork including production of technical and situational reports
6. Report all accidents, near miss events or potential hazards
7. Undertake all other maintenance works within remit
8. Participate in out of hours works, including overtime & call out

What we are looking for in our ideal Commercial Gas Engineer:

The right person for this role will have a solid background in Commercial gas and heating as well as all relevant qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT, and applicable domestic qualifications. Additional desirable qualifications include: COMCAT, CCCN1, CCLNG1, OFTEC, LPG, ASHP, UNVENTED, and Solar/Renewable. They should possess excellent gas knowledge of current legislation and regulations, with experience in local authority/social housing settings, and familiarity with various appliances and installations. A comprehensive technical skill set, extensive fault-finding experience, and knowledge of major manufacturers like Vaillant, Riello, Broag, and others are essential. Good plumbing skills, a full driving license, and an understanding of health and safety best practices are also required.
