Job description

Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer

Are you a qualified commercial gas engineer with experience in commercial maintenance? Are you seeking a company that offers upskilling and training opportunities?

We are looking for an experienced gas engineer with a background in commercial environments, responsible for all aspects of commercial gas maintenance and minor remedial tasks. The role is mainly Monday to Friday, covering various commercial sites around Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Package includes:

• Salary - £45,000
• Mobile, van, and fuel card with personal use option
• Monday to Friday, 8-5
• Call outs (1/7), £110

• Core hours: Monday to Friday (40-hour week)

Main responsibilities:

• Plan and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial/industrial boilers
• Complete inspection and gas safety check certificates
• Ensure maintenance is performed according to schedules, frequencies, and industry best practices
• Identify defects, prepare parts lists, and estimate repair times
• Handle boilers and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients
• Install, repair, and maintain various systems, including small plant rooms, heating boilers, and gas heaters
• Visit customer premises to service and repair boilers and heating systems
• Assess, dismantle, repair, or replace relevant parts
• Support internal operational processes and field service team

Candidate requirements:

• Commercial gas tickets (COCN1 / CODNCO1) - essential
• Experience in commercial environments
• Driving license
• Multi-skilled in electrical and fabric tasks - desirable
• Domestic gas qualifications - desirable
• Commercial catering tickets - highly desirable
