Job summary

Omega Plc is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join their team on a leading supermarket contract. You will complete PPM schedules, respond to service calls, and perform maintenance on a range of HVAC assets, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.

You will identify faults, advise the Line Manager on replacements, and work a 42.5-hour week with van, tools, and IT equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Commercial gas qualifications (4 of the listed)
• F Gas qualification
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters - HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) - Essential

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule with accurate paperwork and procedures.
• Respond promptly to service calls/alarms from Helpdesk; assess and repair within timescales; update call and job status.
• Carry out service/maintenance on HVAC assets (air handling units, gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, split AC, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, water chillers).
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise Line Manager with replacement recommendations.
• All work in line with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Job description

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities - Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid‑down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non‑repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Qualifications

• recognised Commercial Gas qualifications - at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F Gas (#####) qualified
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters - HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) - Essential

Compensation & Benefits

• £47,888.23 (salary including on call standby 1:4)
• 42.5 Hours Per Week, 8:30am-5:00pm
• 25 days + 8 bank holidays
• Overtime
• Travel time after ½ hour each way
