We are ideally looking for someone who is immediately available to take on this exciting challenge with a forward-thinking tech company based in London Docklands. Reporting to the MD, you will be pivotal in driving the business forward and taking them on their expansion journey. Turnover is currently £20m and they are growing by acquisition and organically over the next 2 years to take them to £40m.
Responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager role:
Lead, direct and manage the financial operations of the group.
Oversee all the month-end procedures, control accounts, balance sheet, bank reconciliations, and journals.
Produce detailed monthly management accounts, drilling down into the budgets, investigating any variances.
Work closely with the Sales and Operations Senior Management, reviewing costs, analysing contracts, and investigating profit margins.
Present monthly management accounts to the Board, including any risks.
Conduct financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, manipulating data, and highlighting potential threats.
Liaise with suppliers to reduce costs.
Liaise with the HMRC.
Handle monthly VAT and corporate tax.
Provide direction to the Board, creating a 5-year business plan in line with the Board and the Investor's expectations.
Requirements of the Commercial Financial Controller Role:
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a proven track record in a fast-paced growing SME.
Advanced Excel skills, including Vlookups, Xlookups, and pivots.
Highly systems literate, ideally with the implementation of an ERP system.
First-rate communication skills, with the gravitas to present to a Board.
Ambitious and driven to develop this role into a Finance Director.
