ABM Alliance Limited, Bristol-based, is expanding its finance function and seeks a hands-on Finance Manager to own financial reporting, controls and day-to-day finance operations.

The role reports to the fractional CFO and requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience, with exposure to events, media, hospitality, or project-based work. You’ll manage revenue and margin analysis across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Strong month-end, controls and management accounts knowledge.
• Experience with revenue recognition and deferred income — ideally in events or media.
• Commercially minded and able to business-partner with founders and operational leads.
• Hands-on in a growing finance function with developing processes.
• Good systems skills; cloud accounting software experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own the month-end close process, timely and accurate management accounts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts packs with analysis, commentary and schedules.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity with reconciliations and month-end controls.
• Prepare and post month-end journals including accruals, prepayments and payroll.
• Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and liquidity monitoring.
• Manage revenue recognition across events and track deferred revenue.
• Produce event-level P&L with revenue, costs and contribution margin by event.
• Analyse margin performance and explain variances between actual and forecast.
• Support KPI pack, budget and rolling forecast development.
