Citadel Source is delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a leading, listed business to recruit a Commercial Finance Lead – Bids and Tenders. This role can be performed predominantly remotely in the UK. It is embedded within a new team created to facilitate successful acquisition of new business via tenders, offering an exciting opportunity to lead the finance division and partner with management.

About you

The ideal candidate will be confident, personable, with strong partnering skills, capable of relating complex financial information to senior leadership, and experienced in bid work, tenders, and business cases. A focus on continuous improvement and driving growth through new business is essential.

The role

This position involves supporting the business's budgeting and forecasting, setting challenging targets, identifying risks and opportunities, and tracking progress with the senior leadership team. The role also includes:

• Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team
• Building relationships across all levels of the business
• Managing a team of twelve finance professionals
• Ensuring finance elements of bids meet internal and client requirements
• Leading financial analysis and modeling for bids, ensuring accuracy and commercial advantage
• Testing sensitivities and scenarios to assess risks and opportunities
• Developing funding strategies for bids
• Leading finance governance processes and preparing necessary briefings
• Developing and owning the finance framework for bidding
• Supporting colleagues and liaising with the Mobilisation team post-bid
• Promoting process improvements and best practices
