Commercial & FP&A Director | Consumer – PE Backed | London | £DOE + Bonus + Equity + LTIP

We’re currently supporting a high-growth, private equity-backed Consumer brand that is rapidly expanding its footprint across the UK and international markets. With the backing of a leading mid-market PE fund from 2024, the business is scaling its omnichannel presence through product innovation, strategic acquisitions, and international market entry. We are hiring a Commercial & FP&A Director to join the executive leadership team and help drive strategic financial decision-making at a critical phase of growth. Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across product categories, channels, and markets
• Provide robust commercial insights around pricing, margin analysis, promotional spend, and return on marketing investment (ROMI)
• Build and manage financial models to evaluate new product launches, channel strategies, and international expansion opportunities
• Deliver executive-ready financial analysis and scenario planning to drive data-led strategic decisions
• Partner with PE investors on reporting, performance tracking, and value creation initiatives
• Lead improvements in commercial finance systems, reporting tools (e.g. Power BI), and controls
• Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team capable of supporting a fast-growth environment

Ideal Candidate

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), ideally with a Big 4 Transaction Services, advisory, IB or commercial background
• Experience working in a consumer, media, technology, FMCG, D2C, retail, or e-commerce business with a focus on commercial finance, but flexible on industry if can demonstrate transferrable skills.
• Proven success in partnering with C-suite executives and PE investors to shape strategy and deliver performance improvement
• Strong modelling skills and analytical mindset, comfortable building ROI, pricing, and scenario tools in Excel/Power BI
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and commercial insight delivery across product and market dimensions
• Exposure to M&A, post-deal integration, or growth capital deployment is a plus
• Leadership capability, with a track record of building and empowering finance teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
