Job summary

Wade Macdonald is seeking a Group Commercial Finance Business Partner for a growing organisation in the Logistics/Distribution sector. The role focuses on commercial insight, pricing and profitability across Europe, partnering with senior stakeholders to drive profitable growth.

You will develop pricing models, profitability analysis and robust reporting, while supporting budgeting and forecasting and expanding analytics capabilities across the group.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience, ideally in multi-site or fast-growing environments.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling are essential.
• A relevant degree is required; formal professional qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial analysis across revenue, volumes, pricing, margins and customer profitability.
• Partner with senior commercial and strategic stakeholders to support negotiations, tenders and pricing decisions.
• Develop pricing models, customer profitability analysis and cost-to-serve tools to strengthen decision-making.
• Produce financial models and business cases for growth opportunities and strategic projects.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with robust assumptions on pipeline, revenue, pricing and margins.
• Establish meaningful commercial KPIs and improve visibility of pipeline, risks and opportunities.

This is a highly commercial finance opportunity, working closely with senior stakeholders to improve decision-making and support profitable growth across a European organisation.

As Group Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will bring together commercial, operational and financial information to provide meaningful insight around pricing, customer profitability and performance. You will also play an important role in developing more consistent commercial reporting and analysis across the Group.

Duties will include:

• Providing commercial analysis across revenue, volumes, pricing, margins and customer profitability.
• Partnering with senior commercial and strategic stakeholders to support negotiations, contract renewals, tenders, pricing decisions and new business opportunities.
• Developing pricing models, customer profitability analysis and cost-to-serve tools to strengthen commercial decision-making.
• Producing financial models and business cases for growth opportunities, capacity expansion, partnerships and other strategic projects.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting by providing robust assumptions around pipeline, revenue, pricing, customer retention, volumes and margins.
• Bringing together information from multiple systems and sources to create clearer, more reliable commercial reporting.
• Establishing meaningful commercial KPIs and improving visibility of pipeline performance, risks and opportunities.
• Working across Finance, Commercial, Operations and Technology to improve reporting processes and reduce reliance on manual analysis.
• Providing constructive challenge to stakeholders and translating complex financial information into clear recommendations.
• Supporting the development of future reporting and analytics capabilities as the organisation continues to invest in its digital infrastructure.

About the Successful Applicant

You will have strong commercial finance, business partnering, pricing, revenue management or strategic development experience, ideally gained within a multi-site or fast-growing environment. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills are essential, alongside excellent commercial judgement and stakeholder management capabilities. A relevant degree is required, while an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification would be advantageous.
