Job summary

Trostan Dene Ltd in Horwich is seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partner to support the finance team with accurate reporting and valuable commercial insights across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will own commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, dashboards and business cases, partner with regional managers, and help drive revenue, retention and profitability while contributing to month-end and board reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in management accounting.
• Experience in commercial finance or FP&A.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into insight.
• Confident communicator and able to partner with non-finance stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and accuracy; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly and monthly sales and attrition reporting, identifying trends by site, region and customer cohort.
• Develop and maintain commercial reporting and BI dashboards covering sales, attrition and site performance.
• Support pricing decisions and increases through revenue, customer behaviour and churn sensitivity modelling.
• Monitor site performance against budgets, including revenue, EBITDA and ROCE.
• Prepare commercial analysis and financial models for business cases, new products, partnerships and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with Regional Managers and stakeholders to understand performance drivers and identify opportunities to improve revenue, retention and profitability.
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting alongside the Head of Finance.
• Support month-end activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L reviews and variance analysis.
• Assist with MI packs, Board reporting, year-end accounts, audit and tax.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation across financial reporting, controls, systems and processes, alongside ad-hoc commercial analysis.

Trostan Dene is supporting a growing business in Horwich with finding a Commercial Finance Business Partner to support the finance team in delivering accurate reporting and valuable commercial insights across their network of locations.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role across commercial finance and financial reporting, providing insight to drive member growth, retention and profitability. The role will own key commercial analysis, including sales and attrition reporting, pricing, site performance, dashboards and business cases, alongside supporting budgeting, forecasting and management accounts.

Looking for

• Experience in management accounting, commercial finance, FP&A or a similar role
• Experience in a fast-paced business environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn financial and operational data into clear commercial insight
• Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships and business partner with non-finance stakeholders
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and accuracy, with strong Excel skills
