Job summary

Focus Resourcing is seeking a Commercial Analyst on the outskirts of Reading to support financial modelling, commercial analysis and contract reporting. You will work in a commercially focused environment with exposure to business strategy and decision-making.

The ideal candidate has around 2+ years of analytical or finance experience, strong Excel skills, and a keen interest in commercial finance and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of analytical or finance experience.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, modelling and data manipulation.
• Interest in commercial finance and business strategy.
• Understanding of key financial concepts (discounted cash flow, IRR, NPV).
• Numerical, analytical, and inquisitive mindset.
• Strong communication skills to present complex data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve advanced Excel-based financial models for long-term planning.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial models and keep audit trails.
• Gather inputs for modelling and update models for contract variations.
