Job summary

Klipboard is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst in Leeds to partner with Sales and Marketing, deliver high-quality analysis, forecasting and Power BI reporting. The role offers a clear development path within Finance Business Partnering and exposure to senior leadership across the finance and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying towards a professional qualification.
• Approximately three to five years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting or financial analysis.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis.
• Strong analytical capability and confidence working with large datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, reporting and analysis.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Commercial curiosity, ownership and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Experience using Power BI to create and maintain dashboards, reports and business performance analysis.
• Experience partnering with sales, marketing or wider commercial teams.
• Experience analysing revenue, sales pipeline, marketing spend, customer acquisition performance.
• Experience working within a global, technology, software or private equity-backed organisation.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Finance and Business Partnering: support leaders with financial analysis and insights.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and provide trusted financial information.
• Participate in business reviews and performance discussions.
• Support commercial initiatives with analysis and clear recommendations.
• Analyse revenue, costs, marketing spend and profitability trends.
• Deliver timely management reporting with clear commentary.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and forecasting and explain key variances.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data quality.
• Prepare reports for finance leadership, sales, and marketing.
