Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited in the UK is seeking a qualified Commercial Finance Accountant to partner with Export, B2B and Wholesale teams, delivering commercial insight that drives revenue growth and margin improvement.

You will deliver weekly and monthly sales performance reporting, support forecasting and budgeting processes, analyse profitability and present commercial recommendations to senior stakeholders in a fast-paced FMCG business based in Uxbridge.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in financial planning and reporting within Export/Wholesale.
• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.

Description

Duties include:

• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure financial goals are met.
• Partner with Commercial teams to identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin enhancement.
• Deliver weekly and monthly sales performance reporting across Export, Wholesale and B2B channels.
• Analyse volume, price, mix and margin performance to identify key business drivers and risks.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and planning processes through detailed financial analysis and commercial insight.
• Monitor global market trends, competitor activity and pricing movements to support commercial decision-making.
• Review customer and product profitability, identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Prepare commercial presentations, customer reviews and performance updates for senior stakeholders.
• Challenge existing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives within Commercial Finance.
• Provide financial guidance and commercially focused recommendations to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Support the maintenance of strong financial controls while promoting commercial awareness throughout the business.

Profile

A successful Commercial Finance Accountant should have:

• A professional accounting qualification (e., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in financial planning and reporting within an Export or Wholesale environment.
• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £65,000 to £80,000, dependent on the level of experience.
