Job summary

Red Funnel Limited seeks a Commercial Finance Analyst to support forecasting, commercial performance analysis and long-term planning. You will partner with Finance, Commercial and Operations to deliver data-driven insights across the business.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you’ll own rolling cashflow models, provide robust management information, and influence strategic decisions with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills are essential.
• Experience in FP&A or Commercial Finance is preferred.
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Analyse passenger volumes, revenue, yield, pricing and route profitability trends.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
• Produce scenario models and sensitivity analyses to evaluate risks and opportunities.
• Deliver insightful reporting for senior leaders and Board-level decision-making.
• Own and develop rolling cashflow forecasting model and liquidity reporting.
• Identify trends and risks, support business cases and reporting improvements.

The Role

We're seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Finance team and provide insightful analysis that helps shape business decisions, supports financial performance, and drives long-term sustainability.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you'll play a key role in forecasting, commercial performance analysis, cashflow planning and strategic modelling. You'll work across Finance, Commercial and Operational teams to provide data-driven insights that influence decision‑making at both operational and leadership levels.

What You'll Be Doing

• Analysing passenger volumes, revenue, yield, pricing and route profitability trends.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Producing scenario models and sensitivity analysis to evaluate business risks and opportunities.
• Delivering insightful reporting for senior leaders and Board‑level decision‑making.
• Owning and developing our rolling cashflow forecasting model and liquidity reporting.
• Identifying trends, opportunities and risks across the organisation, supporting with business cases and making recommendations for improvement.
• Supporting the continuous development of financial reporting, modelling and analytical capability.

What We're Looking For

You'll be naturally analytical, commercially curious and comfortable working with large data sets to solve problems and influence decisions.

Ideally, you'll have:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or be working towards one.
• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance or a similar analytical role.
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience producing meaningful management information and performance reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• The confidence to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with a desire to continually improve processes and reporting.

Experience with cashflow forecasting, Power BI and customer facing retail industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
