Eversheds Sutherland in Cardiff is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the team responsible for P&L reporting, budgeting and performance analysis. You will deliver accurate dashboards, financial insights and management information to support strategic decision-making across the firm.
The role combines data analysis (70%) with core finance activities (30%), offering exposure to commercial projects and cross-function collaboration within a global law firm.

The commercial finance team partners with business leaders and stakeholders across the firm, providing financial insight and commercial support to drive performance and informed decision-making. Our expertise spans budgeting and forecasting, management reporting, business cases and performance management. We work closely with practice groups to identify trends, risks and opportunities, helping to improve financial performance and deliver commercial objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of three experienced commercial accountants, providing high-quality management information, analysis and insight to two practice areas within the business. The commercial finance analyst plays a key role in transforming data into meaningful insight to support effective business partnering and enable strategic decision‑making across the firm.
You will be supporting our Commercial Advisory and Corporate Finance practice groups, this role combines financial analysis with commercial insight. You'll take ownership of reporting, systems and data production, delivering accurate and actionable insights to support decision‑making. Responsibilities include P&L reporting, budgeting, review packs, promotions and quarterly reporting, with a strong emphasis on data analysis (70%) alongside core finance activities (30%).
