Job summary

Trapeze Recruitment Services Ltd is looking for a Commercial FGAS Engineer to join a growing service-based operation across the UK. The role covers service, maintenance, repairs and installation of catering refrigeration equipment, with on-site work at customer sites.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00, with an on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks) and retainer paid for out-of-hours work. A company van, fuel card and tools are provided.

Qualifications

• F-Gas certified.
• Experience with HVAC-R and F-Gas systems (18th Edition, NVQ, City & Guilds Electrics).
• Experience with fridges, freezers, blast chillers, walk-in chillers and freezers.
• COMCAT 1, 2, 3 and 5 not essential but beneficial.
• Full driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, repairs and installation of catering refrigeration equipment.
• Install, maintain and repair equipment at customer sites.
• On-call rota 1 in 5 weeks with OOH retainer and callout payments.

Skills

F-Gas certified

Our client is a fast growing, service-based company supporting the butchery, hospitality, packaging, processing, and medical sectors across the UK. They provide engineering support, servicing, breakdowns and equipment solutions for food-related operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a key stage of its growth and development. In-house training provided on lines of equipment that represent a part of the business outside of commercial FGAS equipment.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

A company van, fuel card, tools and equipment are provided.

Responsibilities of Commercial FGAS Engineer

• Service, maintenance, repairs & installation of all catering refrigeration equipment. Including but not limited to; Fridges, Freezers, Blast chillers, Walk-in chillers and Freezers)
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites

Skills and experiences required of Commercial FGAS Engineer

• F-Gas certified
• Relevant Electrical Experience (18th Edition, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds Electrics)
• HVAC-R/F-Gas Experience
• Experience working Fridges, Freezers, Blast chillers, Walk-in chillers and Freezers
• COMCAT 1, 2, 3 and 5 is not essential but would be beneficial
• Full Driving License

On call rota for 1 in 5 weeks (Either overnight stays or out of hours callouts - retainer paid for OOH + additional payment for any attended callouts. Overnight payment per night paid).
