Job summary

Vital Energi Ltd is seeking a Commercial Executive for a 6-month fixed term contract at our Head Office in Blackburn. The role supports financial management of O&M contracts, procurement, sub-contractor accounts, and variation accounts, with involvement in the 4PS transition.

You will work with Contracts Managers and Engineers, handling invoicing, payments, and monthly CVRs, while contributing to the commercial efficiency of multiple projects.

Qualifications

• GCSEs incl. Maths/English or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Quantity Surveying degree or related degree.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Vet contract documentation on receipt from Client and ensure compatibility with Tender.
• Prepare and issue enquiries for Plant, Materials and Sub-Contract packages; vet quotations and issue Purchase Orders.
• Prepare and submit Applications for Payment and/or Invoices; progress payments per contract provisions.
• Measure, submit and agree Variations and/or CE events.
• Monitor on-site records (Eagle Records/Timesheets).
• Review Eagle/Job Logic or equivalent to claim reactive work and call outs.
• Prepare monthly CVRs and Cash/Spend profiles; attend Contract Review Meetings.
• Authorise and code Suppliers' and Sub-Contractors' Invoices for payment.
• Measure, certify and agree Sub-Contractors interim valuations; issue notices.
• Assist Finance in securing payment of Invoices; chase debt.
• Prepare monthly Commercial Reports and CVR summaries with Finance.
• Manage annual indexation per contract provisions.
• Provide day-to-day admin support to Head of Commercial/Commercial Director.
• Support system transformation and 4PS launch.
