Job description

Position: Commercial Electrician

Benefits: Up to GBP41,288 - GBP19.85 per hour (GBP18.25 without 2391), travel paid minus 30 minutes either side, 1 in 6 on-call with GBP100 standby, daily lunch allowance, van.

We have been delivering our services for over 35 years and currently employ over 100 engineers and 50 office staff across the country, from Birmingham to the South Coast. We supply commercial gas and electrical services to a wide range of clients including Green King pubs, Premier Inns, Brewer Fayres, and more.

Due to our ongoing workload and new contract wins, we are recruiting heavily for Commercial Electricians to perform testing and maintenance across our commercial sites.

Responsibilities

1. Perform regular testing and inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
2. Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for electrical systems and equipment.
3. Diagnose electrical problems using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and testing devices.
4. Perform necessary repairs on electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components.
5. Prepare detailed reports on electrical testing, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Essential Qualifications / Experience

1. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
2. 18th edition
3. Full UK driver’s license
4. 2391 or equivalent (desirable; basic pay GBP37,960 without 2391)
