The role focuses on installing 16-amp commando sockets in commercial sites, with some travel away and overnight stays; accommodation, meals and fuel are fully covered when away. You will work independently on a high standard of commercial electrical installations.

Job description

TradeField are currently looking for an experienced Qualified Electrician to join a commercial client working across Newcastle and the North East.

This is an excellent long-term opportunity, with a two-year programme of work already secured.

The Role

The primary work will involve the installation of 16-amp commando sockets across commercial sites throughout the North East.

The majority of projects will be located within approximately two hours of Newcastle, although there will occasionally be a requirement to work further afield and stay away overnight.

When working away, accommodation, food and fuel expenses will be fully covered.

Typical duties will include:

• Installation of 16-amp commando sockets
• Containment installation
• Commercial electrical installation works
• Electrical testing knowledge
• Working across retail, distribution and other commercial environments
• Working independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Requirements

• Have 6+ years' experience working as an electrician
• Have strong commercial electrical experience
• Have good knowledge and experience of electrical testing
• Ideally have previous experience working within retail, warehouses or distribution centres
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Be comfortable travelling throughout the South West and occasionally staying away
• Be reliable, professional and comfortable working on an ongoing programme of commercial projects

Please note: Due to the insurance requirements for the client's fleet vehicles, electricians who will drive those vehicles must be aged 30 or over.
