Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd in West London seeks an experienced Commercial Dwelling Engineer to join our team. You will service, maintain and commission HIUs, communal heating systems and district heating networks across residential properties and mixed-use developments.

The role requires at least three years of district heating experience, City & Guilds plumbing qualifications, and a full UK driving licence; you will work independently and as part of a team, with an out-of-hours call-out rota.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Plumbing Level 2/3 required.
• WRAS-funded water treatment training preferred.
• Minimum three years district heating experience.
• Strong HIU servicing and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of heating controls such as Y Plan and S Plan is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HIUs and communal heating systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults with heating controls, pumps, valves and radiators.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, commissioning and system balancing.
• Maintain accurate job records and provide good customer service.

Commercial Dwelling Engineer

Location: West London

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Dwelling Engineer to join our Commercial Heating & District Energy Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning Heat Interface Units (HIUs), communal heating systems and district heating networks across residential properties and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HIUs and communal heating systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults with heating controls, pumps, valves and radiators.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, commissioning and system balancing.
• Maintain accurate job records and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow health and safety procedures and participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

Essential Requirements

• City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Plumbing qualifications.
• Formal Water Regulations and WRAS-approved water treatment operative training.
• Minimum three years' district heating experience.
• Strong HIU servicing, repair and fault-finding experience.
• Knowledge of Y Plan and S Plan heating controls.
• Asbestos Awareness training.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Desirable: G3 qualification, low-temperature heating training and HIU manufacturer certifications.
