Job summary

Metro Rod Birmingham is seeking a Drainage Engineer to deliver reactive drainage services, routine maintenance and remedial works across commercial sites. You will investigate blockages, perform CCTV surveys and provide expert technical support while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with jetting and CCTV, a full UK driving licence and flexibility to work unsociable hours. A company van, fuel card, uniform, pension and holidays are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial drainage.
• High pressure water jetting experience.
• CCTV surveying experience.
• Experience with electro-mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Strong problem-solving ability and technical knowledge.
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
• Willing to work unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains as part of a varied workload.
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with safety standards.
• Carrying out CCTV surveys on drainage networks.
• Providing excellent customer service and technical expertise to clients.
• Accurately recording work details in internal/client systems and applications.
• Communicating effectively with high-profile commercial and domestic clients and support centre colleagues.
• Being part of an on-call rota to service clients 24/7/365.
